At the airport Zeynep and Necmi waited to welcome us. Chocolate and lokum swapped from one to the other. Then Necmi brought us by bus to the village Geyikbayırı which is situated in the mountains behind Antalya. The three nights in the Rasayana guesthouse was a balm after long weeks of hard work. We enjoyed the absolute silence during the night, only a barking dog somewhere in the dark could be heard from time to time. The guesthouse is surrounded by a beautyful garden with hedges of rosemary. An archway leads to a secret garden with tousands of wild and cultivated plants.
Müzzeyen and Ali prepared every evening a delicous dinner with vegetables and herbs grown in an orcanig way in the own garden. To stay on the terrace was so relaxing that we dicussed and played games far into the nights. But finally some went behind the house to see the wide starry sky and with good luck a falling star. If any of the wishes are fulfilled?

From Geyikbayırı we went on to Eğirdir, a peaceful place at Lake Eğirdir. In Charly’s pension we were well received by Ibrahim, Müslüm and their team. The rooms in the historical house from 1890 are small but due to the sloping wooden floors very cosy. And the view from the terrace over the Lake and the mountains is unique. We felt being in holiday – swimming in the lake, watching thunderstorms and moonsets. During the nights we were singing, playing cards, discussing and laughing. Thanks to Müslüm and Ibrahim for the hospitality!
If you go to Eğirdir I recommend you Charly’s pension: http://www.charlyspension.com/
